My biggest Ric is this one here. Fully open probably pushing 4.5"
Not 100% on sub species but believe yours is Florida Ric. Where mine is Ric Yuma based on the bouncy skirt around cap.
I've seen Rics like yours with at least 10 mouths on 1 solid shroom. Ive also seen your type growing from step to step in lfs where it looked like it was melting down a solid 3" gap and attached to rock below and disc above it as one solid shroom lol

Sweet! That’s huge.

The one I want is about 3 inches wide- hasn’t even split yet.

Every time I go there, the LFS worker is like, “you ready to get that mushroom yet?” And then I find something else I want. ;Hilarious

Wasn’t very happy to be out of water for that long, but he lived. :p

Tomorrow I AM getting that massive ricordea at my LFS, even if it kills me.

I’ve been putting off getting that mushroom for over a month.;Cold

Mushrooms are very hardy, so if it’s been in your LFS for that long, go and get it .

I am 90% sure I will be able to get the mushroom... assuming no one has bought it yet. ;Woot

They also have a stunning leather coral for $40 - you guys have any experience with this species?
What kind of leather?

It's a toadstool I believe.
Toadstools are pretty easy, but they can contribute to excessive shading of some of the other corals, especially in a smaller tank like yours. I'd figure out exactly what you want in the tank first, give some time for other things to establish, and then look into adding one if you still want one. You'll be able to find them in the future for sure.

It’s absolutely MASSIVE.

Once it acclimates, it’s going next to its ‘brother’. ;)

——

It also I on a frag plug, but I don’t have a frag rack... any quick solution for this?

I’ll look around the house to see if there’s anything that closely resembles a frag rack, lol.

@F i s h y, where do you recommend I place the second one?

I was thinking on the left side of the tank, near the bottom, but have it facing up.

The cyano has kind of died down - right now it’s mostly diatoms that are causing ugly issues.
