Most times they like high light high flow,

I run a 15" deep sps tank, so flow is intense throughout and lighting is strong but my flame is on the bottom glass and happy as can be with great color. In a standard 24" sps dominant tank I'd say strong flow and mid level. I dont find it needs crazy par to get those yellow tips, one of the really cool things about that piece. Have to have strong flow to keep it thick and not leggy in my opinion.

Ok, see thats what I initially thought but after doing some research I've seen a lot of post stating that they do better in lower par.

I have mine in over 300 par it does very well, that's not to say it won't also do very well in lower par. I would have to bust out the PAR meter and take a look tomorrow to give you a more precise answer.

Agreed on both points. Mine has started to get leggy in spots since another colony is starting to really block a lot of flow. I added two more powerheads and it seems to be thickening up again.

I got a chance to check it today and my colony is sitting in approx 335 par.
