Jawfish makes a mess!

So...I love this little guy. He is funny, active and pretty. But dang does he make a mess. I’m OCD. Had my substrate perfect side to side at 1/2 inch above the glass all the way across. Now look at it! I’m going crazy. How does on tiny fish make such a mess. lol Keep in mind I’m not mad and mostly being sarcastic as I’m not gonna change anything but come on little guy, enough is enough!

For reference...opposite sides on the tank that used to be perfectly even. Sometimes I mess with him and straighten it out and he gets mad and spends all day fixing it them covers his hole and doesn’t come out for an hour as if to say, screw you im going home

That's what they do if you don't give them a deep enough sandbed.
Ideal would be to use a long rock/branch to make him a little terrace with deeper sand.
