A few frags I picked up. Ordered the Hanna Alkalinity checker today. Excited to test it out.

Got my GHL Profilux 4e all dialed in. I must say it feels really good to be able to monitor my temperature now. Also, not having to use test kits for PH All the time is awesome. Knowing I have the ability to expand and control even more using the GHL Profilux 4e makes me very Satisfied with my decision.

I was able to slowly raise the PH using Kalk. The GHL ProfiLux made this a breeze to do.

I would say setting up the GHL profilux 4e has been a piece of cake but honestly it’s been sort of a learning curve. However it’s really rewarding once you have everything going and set up correctly. The float sensor should be here tomorrow for the auto top off.

So, i‘m dosing Kalk from brightwell and Im happy with it because it hasn’t affected my coral in a negative way. Even through my many attempts to find the right mix/potency and how much I should be replacing in the tank I didn’t notice any huge swings. In my 45gal I use 2tsp in a gallon of Ro/di and dose 50ml per hour.

So I’m still struggling to obtain my PH goal. The drop overnight isn’t as significant as before I had the doser 2.1, however it drops down to 7.7-7.8. I’ve think I’ve found a solution with icecaps Co2 Scrubber. As you can see on the chart, once I got it connected with all the push connect fittings the PH has slowly increased over a few hours.

DIY recirculating Co2 scrubber
2x - 3/8“ to 1/4” push connect adapter
1x - 1/4“ to 1/4“ push connect adapter (icecap skimmer)
1/4 tubing

Awesome build! Hows the tank doing now? :) What are you running in the media basket? I'm currently planning out my build for a new JBJ 45 flat panel too. After some months of use, would you recommend it, and how is maintenance for you? @DownByTheReef
