Hi all,

For my 20 gal cube LPS/softie tank, I have just tried out a Hygger mini wave maker and found that it produced way too much flow, even at its lowest setting.

I have just purchased a Jebao SLW-3. I am sort of debating returning it for a SLW-5. I like that they both have lower flows, but with the SLW-3 I feel like I’d have more control on the flow power. However, the SLW-5 would have a more wide flow.

Would love to hear other people’s thought on this.

I currently run 2 SLW 3s on my 15G. I think 1 SLW 3 may be too little flow for your tank. I’d go with 2 of them or 1 SLW 5.

Note there are other Jebao options that are newer as well. Look up ALW and DLW series. They are wifi / Bluetooth. Same model numbering sequence for sizes.

You could also do a DMP-10. That's the route I would go now if I was just starting. These pumps just came out too.

I know this is an old post however I currently have one in my 20g and that paired with the 270gph pump I seem to have way too much flow no matter where I aim them. My frag and cloves are getting hit hard.
