Has anyone successfully extended the cord length of there Jebao pump. I just install my DCP 20000 and I want to extend the cables through my floor up into my stand so I can control it from the tank .

I don't see any problems with that, Not sure how many wires the cable has but just run colors to colors. If they don't have colors you'll need to mark them before cutting. Use appropriate wire size depending on distance. Wires have some resistance use a thicker gauge wire say 16

It has 3 wires and the wires are about 18-16 guage . I have some 3 wire 14 guage I was going to splice in . I only need to extend it about 6-8 feet .

You'll want to use similar gauge wire. Adding thicker wire like 14 gauge has the potential to mess with wire resistances and motor timing. Also, consider ordering some waterproof connectors to be safe. I'd recommend something like this Amazon product ASIN B083HRRVKF

The link you sent me didn’t open and I was going to use a little bit larger wire because voltage drop on linger runs so you use bigger to compensate. Try and resend the link .

Not sure why I can't get a link to work, so here's a screen shot. As far as voltage drop, the amount over the what, 20 feet or so you're going to add won't make a difference. Plus it would be in the middle where you'd have 16 or 18 AWG at either end and if anything you'll cause a point of resistance where you splice them. I'd be more worried about that than the voltage drop. But you do whatever you feel comfortable with. Its low voltage so it's not like the it will see a ton of heat anyways.

Well I was able to get the cable extended . I took the controller apart and desoldered the plus wires . Then I soldered on the extension cable . Ran the cable through the floor . Then I soldered and heat shrinked the factory plug to the extension cable . Went up stairs plugged the pump up and everything worked just fine .
