I have a 60x28x20 peninsula mixed reef that has only been up for a few months, only started putting coral in it a few months ago.
Current flow is 2 jebao slws and one jebao gyre. I am happy with the gyre however the slws were purchased for the previous tank and they really just dont have what it takes to push enough water to the far side of the tank.
I already have plans for another gyre soon however i am thinking of removing the slws and replacing them with dmps. For the dimensions of my tank with it being a mixed reef (60x40 sps lps) how many of which size would you recommend.

I assume the dimensions are in inches so you have a pretty large tank. I would probably get 2 DMP40 and have it on either ends of the tank

I have a 60” x 30” X 20” mixed reef. I purchased 4 DMP 40’s, and it’s a bit overkill right now. I have the front two that face each other at 35% and the back two at 75%. I like the fact that I can customize areas with different flow, but 2 would have been plenty for my LPS/softie tank

With the Gyres, for sure two are enough.
