No problems with the favia. I did have a galaxea above it and there were problems (go figure). Galaxea ended up exiled to frag tank.

I have heard Galaxea were very aggressive.

I wouldnt recommend putting it anywhere but on it's own rock that doesnt touch anything else. It will grow over an acropora like it isnt even there.

Has anyone determined what par and spectrum reactions mind trick has? Mine is getting about 400-500 par heavy white spectrum and it stays solid purple with red polyps. Doesn’t get the green to purple gradient.

I've never measured par but in a 75 gallon with 2-150 watt 20k Hamilton halides and 4-54watt geismann blue actinic (think blue plus) the colony colored best on the bottom.

Ours gets 200-300 PAR (difference between the top and bottom of the coral) and fairly "white" light; our Kessils are at 60% color and I run 2 Blue+, and Aquablue Special, and a Purple+ (12kish look).

I got this as a frag about a year ago, I keep it in the lower part of my tank with med flow under Gen 3 Radions running the SPS AB+ program

I can’t get a good pic of mine but I baked it in ~700 par and the growth is the most stunning neon blue.
