Another month, still coloring up. Polyps are closed due to vacuuming up some detritus. Thoughts on growth? Ever since the Hanna high range showed double for nitrates I have been reducing them but phosphates are still very elevated

Well this Homewrecker is no more, came home to it broken off laying on the pink monti, skin was melting on both. Chopped it up into a bunch of frags to save what I could and the monti has a huge bleach spot on it. My Vlamingi also has a nice cut on her side so I’m guessing how it got broken

Well, finally some growth to speak of. That purple growth tip is pretty new. Finally got my fish load back up to a better level. Still no fur though.

Under morning blues with orange filter.

It is a piece of an old indo mariculture no name I picked up from a LFS before Indo closed. The thing is a chameleon. Over the years it has gone from furry/yellow green/fast growing, to orange/pink hairless/slow growing, to nearly dead and now this. It has a mind of its own; that is for sure. Everything else (mostly) just hums along. This coloration is only about a year old and does look like the Splice pieces I see. I have a few other pieces of it; all stalled but great color contrasts. 5/.07 or higher nutrient these days.

It lives on in one other tank in town as a fast growing baseball size colony, orange & pink but some modest PE. 10/.2 nutrient. I am calling it "Enigma".

If it does not have traceable lineage back to Jason Fox then it is not a home wrecker. No Mari colonies are HW, period.

my homewrecker… it’s literally done nothing for 9 months (you can see the frag plug around it). But it hasn’t died so there’s that..

to its right is a cherry bomb that grew from a pinky frag in half the time…
