Here is mine after 6 months, recently started getting some pinks and really taking off. Oddly enough since my nutrients started running high-

Well it is still growing at a glacial pace. Perhaps it is fattening up a little.

Sadly, some trouble is in store for this tank. I brought in some anthias for a color splash and they all died within 2 weeks. But not before passing along velvet to my tang gang. Grieving the thought of going fallow but not sure I really have any option. Dreading running a hospital tank too.

Looking great everyone. My frag that I started the thread with up and rtn’d in early May. Looked great the day before and then gone the next. I have 2 others that are doing really well though.

I just posted this thread to get some insights into acro nutrition while fallow. As a group of invested acro keepers, I'd appreciate hearing your thoughts & experiences.

I find the variety of coloration from one picture to the next to be interesting. I know the images we see are affected by differences in spectrum, lenses used and any white balance editing but still. We are trying to match the photos with what we actually see so the variance is surprisingly vast.

Not to mention how embarrassingly hairy some of these creatures are relative to mine. (Oh no. I probably triggered @Charlie's Frags again. Sorry Charlie -- it won't happen again. Not today anyway.)

I should probably DM this to you, but there are a few others with similarly unkept hair. The Covid era is waning and it is time to trim things up a bit Charlie.

Thanks for the idea….but my plan is to have acro dreadlocks

SO the colony I was lucky enough to purchase locally started to look unhappy. It had grown out in completely different flow conditions, and had an odd shape to it, so I took the bone cutter to it LOL. I cut off the top portion and left a nice cookie on the rock work then fragged up the other portion. I placed 4 frags around the tank, and sold a couple, so I am now officially in the frag grow out category, but the pieces look much happier! I'll post a pic of the mother cookie later today...

Kids are not a variable in my life equation.
Really? No college tuition payments to make?

Go buy yourself a yacht or something else that is stupid & expensive.

Nope. My wife and I just get stressed about where to go on vacation, which restaurant to go to, what fancy purse she wants or coral I want, etc.

Another month, still coloring up. Polyps are closed due to vacuuming up some detritus. Thoughts on growth? Ever since the Hanna high range showed double for nitrates I have been reducing them but phosphates are still very elevated
