Lol

Lol, The skimmer is just a 2" pvc pipe with fittings. Its air driven.
The cup was all I could find. Still looking for a better cup. Its a 40oz cup.
You can make this out of reg pvc for cheap. Air stone and pump.
For me it works better than any nano skimmer I have tried.
Sits in second chamber of the aio.

I did the same thing years ago. Those air stones blow the nanoskimmers out of the water. Very cool.

Yep back in the day I had a 6' air driven skimmer that could give todays skimmers a run for the money, lol

This little skimmer pulls quite a bit of skim and I think many nanos could put one to good use.

I actually just purchased an IM15g
15" aio nano cube so I need to make another.
After many years witht the great rock wall of reefing in bigger systems I really enjoy the nano's and my growout systems.

Have a look at Pengs blue monster. I have one and it looks like the coral in the original post.

They are totally different corals. Peng's blue monster grows into a thick knobby coral with a growth structure something like a Purple Monster. The simplex is a thin branching acro, kind of like a turaki with sparse branches and is a solid deep purple color.

Here is a grown out Peng's Blue Monster to compare:

@therman
The "irregular" growth is why I find Simplex appealing. I have to admit, that grown out Peng's has a little bonsai tree look to it, love it's growth pattern equally as well :)
I have long been searching for ORA Dustins Deepwater, and think this piece is similar in ways, so that's satisfying, lol.

This really leggy colony of Ari's Avalanche I had was the closest I have seen to Dustin's Deepwater (that actually grew for me). Color scheme seems pretty close too:
