Johnny 5 is Alive!

I went to my LFS yesterday, and they had a peacock... I'm seriously considering going back to get it today.

So let’s see it!

I unfortunately missed the saga of Murderbug (RIP), but after 7 pages of catch up I’m ready to follow along on the new adventure.

Have you had any concerns with a mantis in the glass tank? My understanding is that acrylic is strongly suggested since they can shatter the glass

You guys are a bunch of enablers.

I had no concern with my original, as he was much smaller than a peacock.

With a peacock, I am a little concerned, as it's a WB15 and the glass is noticeably thinner than my IM 10&20.

I think you need to stop texting and driving and just show us a pic of the little guy/gal when you’re home with ‘em!

You're gonna need a bigger tank for a peacock.

That's the other reason I haven't left yet. (First reason is I have to be a responsible adult, lame)
I need another smaller species for this tank.

Good voice of reason here. My very limited understanding of a peacock is they do best with a larger space, tunnel structures and lots of rubble strewn about for them to rearrange. WB15 might be a bit limiting?

Sooo... New tank?

You can just let the peacock run around your yard with the chickens…

I'm sure I haven't missed any important context

When I get a new tank, it will be to upgrade the Bad Guys to a 180-220g.
I've found several for very good prices, so we will see what happens when I get my tax return.
This tank will wait for another ternatensis, hopefully. Until then, Lilith is chilling with some macro algae I harvest for my desjardini.

A patient of mine had a dozen, and she offered me a pair for free!
I already have to keep my chickens on the DL, peacocks will totally blow my cover. So I had to pass.
