I have only had nano tanks since I've been in the hobby. (13 years) largest tank is a 32g corner (I think)

Well this weekend my wife allowed me to get a 135g! And it is amazing! Took me 11 hours to break down and put together but well worth it.

Here is my setup:
135g display tank
30g sump (I think)
Reef octopus skimmer (idk what size)
Phosphate reactor
120lb live sand
190lb live rock
6x - t5's

It came with a some fish and basic corals. So I can't wait to break down the nanos with my collection.

The first goal is to upgrade the lighting. Suggestions? I was thinking two hydra 52's? It's going to be a mixed reef. Would that be enough or do I need 3?

Feel free on sending feedback for a new large reef owner. I have mastered the nanos. So it can't be to much different.

Nice find and glad the Boss approved... lol
You'll love the larger tank with its expanded livestock potential. For LED lighting look at a couple of sponsors here like Reef Radiance and Reef LED they should put you on the right path for less than AI units.

Cheers, Todd

Thanks for the heads up Todd.

I started looking at sponsors after it read this and now am leaning towards the Reef Breeder photon series.

check out the LUMENTEK PRO SERIES - Reef Radiance , they have an updated controller now that includes a cloud covered day and more flexibility in the ramping up and down of the LEDs and if you don't like the LED array, Rick can custom tailer it to fit your needs, and they have a great price too
