Tank has been setup for 7 weeks......Parameters:
Alk - 8.3 Salifert
Ca - 580 Salifert
Mg -1740 Salifert
N03 - 20 Red Sea ( 0 per Salifert)
P04 - 0.06 Hanna

Have 2 small tangs in the tank.

Looks like normal growing pains.

Looks like normal diatoms. Your Mag and Cal are pretty high, what salt are you using?

That's what wanted to hear!! The algae or whatever it is is easily removed from the rocks with a toothbrush. In fact when brushed it disperses into the water column as dust.

I have the same issue currently in my established tank. I also use reef crystals. However my Cal is 470 and MG around 1400

What size tank and how much water do you change out? I have a 225 and change out around 40 gals. per change.
