E1180794-3EDC-4438-93EB-F50B99AC6968.jpeg My station is on the garage. I’m running three tubes into the house. (Salt in, salt out and rodi) they run through the attic and down the wall to the top of my doorway. Then behind baseboards over to the tank. Prob 10 foot vertical and 70 foot horizontal. The DOS has no issues with AWC. I am using a Pmup to run rodi inside with no issues.
This is a beauty. Wish I had the room

I use a python hose via gravity (not hooked up to the sink), then pump the new water to the tank from a brute container.

Do you have issues with RODI or saltwater in your garage? Does it get too hot (or cold)?

For what it’s worth, I have my new salt water and RODI storage in my garage here in Florida. As above, cold isn’t really a concern, but it can get pretty hot in the garage. Even so, I just use the water in very small quantities, so a little hot water for ATO or for my continuous AWC really isn’t going to make a measurable impact in the temp of the tank.

I was more concerned with the high temp would the water “go bad”, whatever that would mean

10g brute, hose, MJ1200 to make then pump water. I do 10% a week on my reefer 350 so it’s a perfect size.

For draining I use a python.

Btw 10g brutes are adorable if no one has seen them. Just little mini brutes. I have a 32 and a 20 also so my daughter calls the 10g the “baby” and the other two the mommy and daddy.

I mix up 60 gallons of salt water in a mixing barrel. The pump that mixes it also can be switched using valves to pump that water into the sump.
I have a dead icated pump in the sump to just pump out water. PVC to a hose that can either be placed in the sink or run out to the garage. ( i use the water to keep the dust down on our gravel road by pumping it into brutes and trucking them out to the road)
Turn off DT return pump/turn on sump drain pump/when done turn valve to pump water into the sump for refill

I do the exact same equipment/water change wise but the best is when people say wow your tank is HUGE when they see the 10g Brute in a picture! Makes a Reefer 250/350 Look like a 180! ;Woot

20g Nano tank here. I keep a 5g bucket of mixed saltwater in a closet next to the tank. Scoop out a one quart measuring cup and dump it in the sink, replace with new water. I do this once a day. Once a week I just siphon out a couple of gallons the old fashioned way.
