Just got ORA Blue Voodoo and Plum Crazy

Went to my LFS today, and they had these two for $25. Theyve survived in the LFS tank since 7/23, so theyve been there for a month with little flow and about 20" from a 150 watt bulb, with a glass top between the two. I picked em both up and just put em in the tank. Anything I should know about these two?

I would keep them low in your tank for a while, you don't want to cook them.

I put em in the best flow I have, which is about mid way up the tank. Lights are only on for another 2 hrs. Ill think of something I can do to acclimate them. Only problem is that all my colored sticks are in one little area

If they have been in low flow low light, you are likely to do more damage then good by putting them up high/in good flow.

I would move them down to bottom, but in better flow then they were, but not in direct flow either.

Okay I will for a few days? How long would you say?

Go slow, a week on the sand, move it up 4-5" for a week, then find the spot you want it to grow in...

Remember, this is a LONG term hobby.

I hear ya. Theyre on the sand, Ill see how they do. Thanks Poseidon!! The blue voodoo has a great blue color under the Radiums, and the plum has the great purple color, still yet to see polyps

Its under a 20k 150. My LFS has a 3 150 watt bulb fixture, with T5 supps. It was halfway down right under the middle bulb (Im guessing maybe 20" max), and there was a glass top between the two. My tank is 19.75" deep without sandbed factored in, under a 20k 150 watt, right under it. Im hoping they do well.

Haha, I promise tomorrow. Redid some of the rock work to fit those fat ORA plugs, but I like it, I think theyre pretty secure there.
