Just stopped by to say hi! Ill post a full tank shot in a month or two to show where im at now, and another shot in 4 to 6 months to show where I wanted to begin my "end goal" for my tank. im using what most people dont consider serious gear and hope to also lower the barrier to entr(eef)y to the hobby to newcomers. Currently im getting my water purity and nutrient levels just perfect and trying to introduce more algae eating livestock to bolster my small clean up crew.

I'm not an expert, but like you I am on a budget. This is an expensive hobby for sure, but there are ways to minimize what you have to lay out.
