Hello,
really quick and probably easy to answer question:
I got my triton ICP results and I want increase K and Sr.

My K/Potassium results were 370mg/L.
My Sr/Strontium results were 4mg/L.
My I/Iodine results were 42mg/L.

I want to push K to 400, Sr to 8, and I to 60.
How fast can I push the levels? (I'm not in a hurry)
K 10mg/day? Sr 1mg/day?

I will use ATI K and SR to push the levels...

As for Iodine I want to use Tropic Marine Lugol's Iodine...
I dose 2 drops of it every 2-3 days right now (not to worried about it)
It does not state how much to use to increases Iodine by X amount...
How much will i need to increase from 42 to 60?

Thanks a lot in advance! :)

IMO, your organisms won’t care or notice the strontium rise and you can boost it instantly.

Iodine can also boost instantly. It can drop a lot in just a few days.

I’d raise the potassium over 2-3 days, but there’s no hard data to justify that of which I’m aware.

Any Suggestion on how much Tropic Marin Iodine/ Lugol's Solution I will need for a boost of 20mg/L ?

Thanks a lot @Randy Holmes-Farley for the fast answer :)

I'm sure you mean to dose 20 ug/L, not 20 mg/L.

Tropic Marin doesn't give a concentration that I could find, but assuming it is "normal" Lugols, that product is usually 142.5 mg I/mL.

So adding 1 mL (142.5 mg) to 100 gallons (379 L) will boost iodine by 376 ug/L.

To boost I by 20 ug/L you need to dose 0.16 ml to 100 gallons.

Bear in mind that Lugols is not just dosing iodide, but also I2, which can have more effects than just supplementing iodine. it is reactive with many molecules, and may change the form of certain trace elements in the tank. For that reason, I prefer to dose iodide, (I-) if you want to supplement iodine, but many people do use Lugols.

Ok, I'll get the bottle of ATI Iodine and dose as it says on the packaging to boost I.
As for the TM Lugol's I'll just keep putting a few drops of it into the tank every few days.

Thanks a lot Randy :)
