Kalk over dose

I accidentally overdosed kalkwasser, how long till I see the effects? My Hanna tester topped out at 11.3dkh

I have heard it takes as long as a week to see the repercussions. Those are some nice looking Acro colonies, hope they make it!

in my experience, 14-15 is HIGH

the 11 peak should not be a serious issue

the speed it got there and the gentle slide back is what is important

I would bite the inside of my cheek lightly, and let it slope back to normal

and id be willing to bet those are the nicest colonies in all of North Liberty! (formerly of Charles City!!)

Agree with Charlie. (Hey. It happens.) I butt dialed a liter of alkalinity into an SPS tank. I lost a blasto colony.

I tad shocked that you didn't get a pH bump with a kalkwasser OD. Weird.

The alkatronic only tests every 12 hrs when the parameters are ok. So I think the ph spoke was between tests. The apex shows a bit of a ph spoke.

Got it. You still might get by. I have bumped 8.6 a few times without trouble. I added powder to the reactor when the lights were still running. Doh.

I had zero issues. This is the 3rd or 4th time something like this has happened and guess what…….no sps crash.
