Kamoer pump help!

I bought this pump not knowing anything about pumps and didnt realize it said requires a hyrdos controller. I hooked it up to a power cord instead and downloaded the app but it wont connect to wifi/blue tooth. Is this unusuable without the controller??

Box says Hydros controller required, so I’m gonna guess that you won’t be able to use it as a standalone pump.
