So i want to run my tank at 74 degrees will corals survive at this temp

Why do you want to go that low?

I've not gone that low on purpose, and I think it would depend a bit on the species. We've kept our Pacific coral mixed reef at 76 F. for many years. I don't think the Acropora corals grow as fast as they could, but overall, it works pretty well.

Corals have grown and flourished for me anywhere from 71-82 degrees, it's more about stability. If you keep it low, but it wiggles around a whole lot, they'll be a lot less happy then higher, more consistent temps.

I prefer to run my LPS dominant at 75.5, usually fluctuates between 75-76.5ish throughout the day. Anything else is too low for comfort (though I'm sure you can, my LPS all LOVE the lower temp, especially my platygyra)

Yikes…I found one place here that has them for $1500 each and it looks like they’re about the only ones who have them in stock. I really hope to find them cheaper soon because I tend to get impatient

so @Jay Hemdal will lps be fine at 74 degrees i understand growth would be slowed but not really that bothered as its a 20g cube

I would try to acclimate them slowly if they are being kept much warmer now. Also, be sure that you can supply a steady temperature year round, especially during the summer.
