No, I haven't looked at the horses much this year. The past 7 years or so the favorite has won but the favorite is scratched this year, the next 3 are pretty even. I'm waiting to see where the money goes tomorrow. I'm terrible at betting. Lost $50 today betting on The Oaks race.

I will say Bob Baffert is a local legend here with 2 horses in the derby this year. At least one will be in the top 3 between Improbable and Game winner. The guy just wins.

*Edit apparently he has 3, Roadster is the 3rd

Post 1 is a tough draw for the derby. Horses get squeezed to the rail and fall back in the pack most of the time. I wouldn't bet it to win but maybe a show bet if you like it. That way it pays out if it places 1,2, or 3. Outside posts like 16+ usually don't do well either.

I hear ya! Honestly I prefer not to go but we get free tickets through either my work or my wife's work most of the time and it's hard to turn down. I'd rather go to a party and avoid the chaos.
