Hi. I got a Kenya Tree on Tuesday. Seemed fine until now. Seems to be slanting. Also, is it fully open. It has been like this since I got it.

It was straight up before but otherwise the same

It’s fine, corals do what they want to do!

It’ll straight up ish over time as it grows towards the light. Unless you have flow blasting it from the left that makes it tilt

Im not an expert, but i have about 50 kenya trees in my tank too (they spawn like hell) and they do whatever they want.
Sometimes retracted, slanted, then the next day full up again and triple the size.
In my experience these are very hardy, never lost one, they always come back from whatever it is thats annoying them. Grow like crazy.

Thanks guys. I'll let you know if anything new occurs. How much flow do they like? My wavemaker is not in peak condition cuz its dirty and it is producing much less flow. But the kenya tree does shake a little now and then

Its "trunk" is almost 90° sideways and its "branches" are almost completely straight up. Polyps are fully open. I'll monitor. By the way, can I see a picture of your 50 kenya trees in your tank.

Mine lay down too sometimes, but get upright again.

And sure, here is a current picture about 2 or 3 weeks old, you have to look for it a bit because they are quite small, and a lot of them are behind the rocks as well. But you should be able to spot some.

Heres some more pictures, i tried to capture some. There are a lot more, just quite tiny and all around the rockwork, some barely visible from weird angles.

Btw, this was my first ever coral that i bought in april 2019. it was just a bit smaller than my pinky.

So cool! I hope my kenya tree grows like that.

Careful what you wish for 😂 i already brought about 40 pieces of it back to my lfs, and once they are settled on a spot, nearly impossible to get them out. Even if you take it out, it will grow back from the smallest piece. But indeed a very nice coral!

Just if you see a baby in a place you dont like, make sure to get it out quickly before it attaches.
