I bought a healthy Kenya Tree specimen a few months ago for a just-cycled 40g cube; it opened up well and seemed to enjoy its site. Then, when I added some other softies, including a purple nephthea and grube's gorgonian, it sulked. The gorgonian refused to open as well (it had been fine). The Kenya was at least a foot away from the other corals, but they were downstream of it and the nephthea. I then moved the Kenya Tree to my Evo, which had a recently-added gorgonian of unknown provenance, and the Kenya Tree is thriving. The gorgonian refused to open after the addition, so I moved the gorg to a pest jar where it seems to be enjoying itself. The gorg was about 2 inches away from the Kenya in the Evo, and downstream of it.
Were the Kenya Trees affecting the gorgonians, or is it just coincidence? I was using Chemi Pure Blue on both builds, but no straight carbon. I didn't do any water changes during this time, either.
