I'm looking at upsizing my tank.
I've decided on the EA Reef pro 1200. However for lighting I prefer the aesthetics of the Kessil 160s and want these but through some research have started thinking the 360s would be better suited.

Current budget will buy me 2 360s or 3 160s.

The tank is 48inches long and both lights advertise 24 inch coverage, my thinking is that if I used 3 x 160s the centre of the tank due to the light overlap would almost match that of a 360 (80W v 90W)
Is my thinking correct? I have mainly softies and some LPS and SPS but will obviously want to increase these in the future with the option of adding another 160 as well.

The biggest benefit of the A360 is the deeper light penetration. If it was me I would go with the A360 and save up for a 3rd.

For tanks 24” tall and above I actually prefer the a360N. Reduces light spill into the room and you can grow just about anything anywhere. a160 is a nice light, but a bit underpowered for a tank that size.
