I've been using one of these for almost 3 years now and while I don't really have any complaints thus far, I was just curious if they need to be replaced after a certain amount of time? Does the spectrum shift, do they loose their intensity etc? Thanks.

I’ve a bunch of them, some older than yours others younger. I have put a PAR meter under them, no material losses in intensity. By eyeballing, I don’t see major spectrum shifts. My guess is the supporting electronics will give out before the LED chip does. Of course, if you’re looking for an ‘excuse’ to replace it then my answer would be quite different LOL.

Thanks for the replies.

@ AllSignsPointToFish

I run the intensity at 100%. The light comes on about 8 am and then ramps up to about 40% by 11 am. (color) At 4 pm it starts winding back down to zero. Light goes off at 7 pm.
