We programmed out Kessil AP700 using the iOS app. However, during a power outage the light doesn’t turn back automatically and the light program is lost until we reconnect out iPhone back onto the Kessil WiFi and open the app.

Is there a setting so that the light turns back on automatically and continues in the last used light program?

You might have to reconfigure the light from scratch.
I have had an ap700 on my tank for 4 years now, and new tank has an ap9x.

Never had your issue, but I do recall during initial install, that the light actually needs to be direct connected to the phone, then later in install it will ask to join the house wifi.

Hope this helps. If you needs copies of the user manual, I have that as well.

I am currently having this issue as well. Started in the spring. After a power outage it would not resume when power came back. I had to open my wifi settings, connect the light, open the app, go to settings, then hit save. Then the light would resume as normal. Wondering if it has an internal battery that used to save its settings that has died. I will likely be sending it to www.fixreef.com for repair.

We found a solution based upon Lloyd’s recommendation earlier. We set up the light from scratch. But, instead of connecting direct to the phone as “recommended” on the app. We connected to the WiFi-router. Then we simulated a power outage by disconnecting the light from the power outlet. One power resumed the program remained.

*** please be sure to write down your light parameters before you start. As these will reset to the default once you reprogram the Kessil.

That’s how my light was set up. I did some more reading here that’s led me to believe my battery idea is wrong. I believe the units wifi has gone bad as it no longer shows up on my phones wifi to connect to as of recently. I don’t want to touch it until I have a replacement on hand. I’ll either try to borrow one from a local reefer or buy a cheap one on Amazon. Then I’m covered and can send it in for repair if needed.

We just had a longer power outage and the Kessel AP700 didn’t continue with the program.

I noticed that the WiFi indicator was not on. Once I reconnected the light to the WiFi, the program returned.

Any ideas?
