I have 4x A360w on a 72” 125 gal tank. They are controlled by the original spectral controller. I now read that the new spectral controller x can be used with the older 360’s I have. If I switched controllers would I gain control over individual colour channels that the x offers? Or would there be no real gain?

AFAICT you only have 2 channels ("white" and "blue") and that is all you will ever have. Sorry.

I agree. I don’t think there is an advantage with the new controllers. In fact, I bet the newer ones are more complicated (I don’t have a newer one so just guessing here) so the simplicity of the kessil will be lost somewhat.

No, you get the same controller via 0-10v port. Only the "x" versions have the ability to control individual channels (violet, red and green), plus moonlight option.
