Kessil Light Director: Save your sump!

So question, how does this work? I just purchased the H160; it should be here on Sunday. The intent I want to happen is not to have a wide spread of light because the current knock-off I have from Amazon creates a spread onto my skimmer causing algae growth on the inside skimmer body as well as other areas within my sump outside of the dedicated refugium space

My design is just for the H380 at the moment. But it works by preventing the light from spreading out for an additional 4" or so; its the equivalent of lowering your light fixture 4", without risking putting it closer to the water. Reduces spread

OHHHHHH.....that is a great idea...are you working on one for the H160?

I received my light director in the mail yesterday...very sturdy product, a perfect fit, and exactly what I was looking for.

can you make for the H160?

No, I tried that at one point and it warped due to the heat. It gets much hotter than H380, and has no plastic trim for this to attach to.
Here is an alternative that was made for it, no bleeding at all...works for me.

I would also like a shorter one for the 160. -JS

I got the metal one he made me. Going to install this weekend.

are you still pumping these out for the H380? what about up top for the A360WE's? to avoid from getting blinded when sitting lower than the lights.

I'd also like to followup about getting one for the 160. TIA

Would you guys be so nice to share the 3D model STL file for Kessil H380 light director? I like to customize it and print couple different shapes to find the best fit.

Hello- I’m interested in a shade for my kessil a360x. It’s over a display so maybe not as deep as the fuge version. Lmk if you’re still printing these

For all of those here who never got a response - I just ordered from printed reef and they were excellent to work with.

Hi don’t worry, I have been messaging people directly whenever they comment. I came out with this Kessil light director a long time ago! Then printed reef came out with their version, which also looks nice.

Sure! Though honestly if you have the ability to customize it, it should be really simple to just model the tube shape.
