Ok been a while. I've been dealing with a lot here recently. I have lost a good number of corals and have as few not looking good.

I regenerated my purigen and I think I may have not got all the bleach out. Anyways all of a sudden I had corals die. All my candy canes, favia, green cyphastrea, meteor shower all dead

2 of my acros turned brown, and my deepwater acro the main base has turned white.

All my parameters are fine. I removed purigen, added carbon, I done a large water change and added prime to my tank 2 days in a row. Since then I removed the carbon cause my phosphates are reading 0.25

Most everything else seems ok so far

I was adding a 10 gallon sump and then decided to wait until I get everything back to normal first

Adding a reef keeper lite this week

Oh yeah and I noticed my hermit crabs eating the flesh off of the candy canes. I am fairly sure they were dead. Is this normal behavior?

Yeh the whole recharging thing scares me with the purigen. At $8.99 I will buy a new one every couple months to make sure my investments stay good.

Exactly I learned a very expensive lesson

Worse part is knowing that it was my fault

Ok I got my rkl. Every plug is filled up lol

I think I got it all set up. I had to calibrate the temp sensor. I have a glass and a digital thermometer and they both were reading 79 and the rkl temp sensor was reading 77
Is this normal?

I just want to be able to figure out how to make alarms sound is temp gets too low or high

Ok here is a update. I added a 10 gallon sump. Everything is going good so far. I'm losing about 1/2 gallon a day due to evaporation now.

I'm looking for suggestions on a new fish to add. I'm down to 2 occ clowns and a six line wrasse. The female clown is a little bi*©h so to speak toward the other clown. He stays hiding in the rock most of the time now

I'm off for a couple of days gonna head to lfs and see what I can pick up

I love it! It has made things so much easier. I'll be happy when I get a net module.

Wish it had more plugs though. I've got all 8 plugs filed on the pc4s and I need one more plug for my sump light lol

Ok im swapping tanks. I'm going from my 36 gallon bow front to a 35 gallon as acrylic tank. The tank is 6" longer than my current tank and the height of 6" shorter which is what I want.

It's going to be a slow process because I have to build a new stand and I'm changing from my 10 gallon sump. I'm gonna build a 20long sump

I'm gonna get the new tank drilled on the bottom and going to go from a 300gph return to about a 800.

I'm worried about throwing my tank into a cycle and killing things. I know to buy new sand and I'm gonna buy all live sand. What are your thoughts on this. Do I need to be worried? Any suggestions?
