This is my first go around with this unit. Tech support was rather sketchy, but figured it out finally. I’ve been running it on my “Outside Corner reef” which is 26 years old. KH was always as good as my testing regime was. This looks like it will work nicely. Runs a test every three hours and makes adjustments if needed. Started high I’m letting it drop to 8.5 before it adds Sodium Bicarbonate. Running it sitting next to the tank so I can monitor it for a few more days. I have a high acro load so I need to stay stable.

I bought one and it’s in the closet because tech support says I need to change the address. Was back and forth with them for over a week before I found that out and since idk how to do that it’s still sitting around useless. [emoji58]

Took me 4 months to get it to take a correct KH, sent in the unit twice, what a joke! Finally got it to work this week! So it does work but have to play with it a lot!

Maybe I can help. Having issues getting it to talk to your home router? Carlos is their tech support guy and he is pretty abrupt.

The key is that ph probe and mixing the reagent carefully. Once it settles in it seems stable.

Roger that. I initially made it harder on myself because I didn’t fully understand how it worked.

Once set up, this unit seems very solid. It is nice seeing the whole Alk trend in my system. I don’t loose alkalinity as fast as I thought I did.

That would be amazing if you wouldn’t mind. Sorry I didn’t respond sooner I’m still learning how to navigate this app on r2r

You need a basic WiFi enabled router. If you have that and your iPads and phones can talk to it, then you have “DHPC” enabled. This causes the router to issue a private IP to your devices so they communicate to your router and the internet. Your Guarduan should act like one of these devices and report the IP address it was assigned during its startup (usually 192.168.1.xxx:8090). This is the address you put in your internet browser so you can communicate and setup the Guardian. If it’s not giving you that address, then there is probably a issue with DHCP on your router or the Guardian is setup for a static IP accidentally or broken. If it’s setup for a static IP, rather than getting one assigned when it wakes up, you will see that address displayed when the Guardian starts up. Let me know what you see and provide pictures and details. We can get it sorted out.

Remember the Guardian has to be close enough to your router to get a cable to it. It doesn’t use WiFi.

If you can’t get a cable to it, there are work arounds that work.

You are connected just fine. When you enter that address into your browser and are in the same network you should see the login page.

The Ph error is because the measured ph is out of wack. You need to calibrate your ph probe.
