Ok so i have about 10 frags and 10 more coming in the mail tomorrow i hope. So i want to talk about placement and glue.. Removal of the coral from the plug.. All new to me. Is it best to cut the plug stem and leave the rest? Also shelving corals are they glued at first then grow and attach themselves? Just amazed at some of the aquascapes here so any tips will be appreciated greatly. Thanks

Ok so i re did my scape and glued my rocks together. Don't have all the coral placement where i want yet but good news is my gonapora seems to be comfortable in its new spot.. Most polyp movement i have seen in a while. Overall happy with the frags i got in the mail. They acclimated well to my tank. I think they sent me a dead one. Lmk what you think. It will be the first pic. I really am having trouble identifying a couple so if you know what any are please lmk. Another update is i realise how important a filter sock is now. I accidently dumped some shrimp eggs in my tank and there were a ton hatched the next day. I wasn't running a filter sock at the time but i put one on and it cleared up fast. My frag rack should come in the mail today so i might take a trip to the lps and grab some plugs and glue today. .. Overall my tank is doing good. Parameters were good. Alk was a little high at 11 dkh but i dosed last night so im thinking that's what brought it up.

You can remove the entire coral from the plug with a small scalpel, then super glue or epoxy it wherever on the rocks. Some will just snap off with no tools, but you risk brea If going on a rack, leave it on the plug, or put it on a new plug.

As far as placement, it depends on the coral. Try to google their names and figure out flow and lighting requirements. Looks like you have some sticks, which require more of both than LPS and softies. I know nothing more than that on acropora though.
