I like the Kessil's.

You just can't beat they're shimmer and the Kessil Logic.

But, It may take more than one A160we, do give you great led spread.

I have the HD 26 and a kessil a80. I like the way the kessil look a little better both nice lights. Dustin

Both will the grow coral you want.

The ai will have a more “light purple look” and slight less pleasing shimmer

The AI has better controller features built in. To get these on the kessil they will cost more.

Decisions decisions! Thanks for your input. I had a AI prime on a nano, and really liked it.

It all comes down to aesthetics and control options since both will be capable of covering spectrum. Fixture profile is also potentially something to keep in mind as the hydras are a short box versus the longer Kessil cans, slightly smaller than a Coke / beer can.

I had both but my 57gal was spa only. One or the other would be a big stretch on a 36" tank even lps.
The kessil doesn't hold a candle to the hydra 26. The A160 is underpowered

You are looking at 40w kessil vs 90w AI. So even 2 a160 will be slightly less powerful than the single hydra 26 just FYI and kessil controllability stinks.

That being said I run kessils because I just hate the color separation many LEDs give and I don't want to buy a fixture with colored LEDs and not run them.
