I have seen my C3PO lithophyllon detach small pieces from around the periphery and drop down onto the tank bottom. I think this may be a Litho strategy.

Thank you!

Have you had any luck with the small ones surviving or any tips to help them?

I tried gluing a couple of the nubbins back onto the original un-encrusted rock - sort of around the edges of the main colony, thus far with no luck. I think that the size of the 'drips' will dictate whether they are viable or not.

Form or function: Do you consider your rock work to be art or the platform for your coral?
