Sometime today my yellow eyed Kole tang got some kind of injury on one side. It is acting completely normal and I think it looks fairly superficial but just wanting to make sure I shouldn’t do anything else for it. Thinking one of the other fish must’ve done something to it but other than my yellow tang whipping it with its tail every now and then haven’t seen any aggression.

Looks to be a bite mark based on pattern. What other fish are in with it?
Other possibility would be injury from object and should heal on its own but keep an eye on area for healing and not becoming red or sore which would warrant treatment using Seachem Neoplex

Yellow tang, starry blenny, two ocellaris clowns, wheeler goby, royal gramma, springeri damsel, lubbock fairy wrasse. From the shape and size I’d have to guess the blenny but idk I’ve never seen it really even look at any other fish but who knows

It’s possible but my clowns are only about 1.5 inch long and that tang is probably closer to 4 in so I feel like for a clown to do that would be a stretch

While it does look like an injury (I’d suspect a bite from the blenny also) just be aware that some bacterial infections grow in a ring or circle. Think ringworm in people. Watch for any new lesions starting up, or this one getting larger.

Already looking better today so I think it probably was a bite but I’ll definitely keep an eye on it!
