Hi,

I received my korallin bio denitrator S-1502. I had ordered the one without the eheim pump. I can’t find the outlet assembly in the pack. Does it come with the denitrator which it should or it needs to be purchased Separately.

Pls let me know.

Thanks.

Here is mine being leak-tested in the sink, so you can see what comes with it. Mine came with the pump, but the pump is in it’s own factory box, so even without the pump I would say you should still have received the outlet assembly.

By the way: After 4 weeks of patiently waiting on ‘nothing,’ week 5 dropped Nitrates from 160 + ppm to 80 ppm; week 6 has seen a drop to 40 ppm. (150-gallon FOWLR plus about 20 gallons in the sump.). Best wishes!

Hello,

Sorry, just found everything in the box. I was under the box flapper. Thank god I didn’t throw away the box. My one last question is that I did not order the eheim pump version as I already have an eheim pump 3400. Will it be a lot or I can dial it down using a gate valve or something like that or not recommended. I will then buy the eheim universal 600. Pls advice.

So you found it? That’s great news! As for the pump, Marine Depo lists the Ehiem 600 as having a maximum flow rate of 179 gph. I’m sure the Eheim 3400 you have would blow the doors off that. Personally, I’d save the 3400 for another aspect in your system and buy a dedicated 600 for your Bio-denitrator... Amazon has it for about $42 and you’ll have it in a couple of days. :)

Yes, you are right. Eheim 3400 may blow off my entire house . I will keep it as a back up for my return pump if my current one fails. I am in India and here things are sold twice/thrice the original amount. Thanks to the the customs and import duties along with taxes. Here it is coming for US$135 but I will buy it as I need to
Pull the nitrates down.

Thanks for replying.

Hello,

One last question. Can I use my doser to feed the denitrator instead of a feed pump. Pls advice.

Thanks.

I have never owned a doser, but I don’t see that as being the right tool for the job at all. Something tells me that’s a big “no.” :(

Hello, I have found my Kaorallin 1502 reactor but I am bummed I am missing the screws that hold the lid on and the two small O-rings for the unions. Does anyone have a link to where I can buy the small bits?

“Yes” on at least the screws— I saw a package of them yesterday as part of the Marine Depot Liquidation sale.
