Hello everyone. I only currently have one fish that swims in the water column. I’m looking at a Labouts Fairy wrasse. I have a pintail wrasse and two orange spot gobies, a neon goby, electric hermit crabs, pistol shrimp, and a coral banded shrimp

How big is your tank? Labouti wrasses can be bossy with other fairy wrasses if there isn't enough space.

It’s a 60 gallon, I’m looking for peaceful tank mates. I had a Harlequin Tusk in my 180 and he wouldn’t let me put in ANY wrasses. So I’m looking for peaceful wrasses that’ll get a long

Laboutis are a bit big and bossy to other fairies in a 60g.

Consider any of the flashers except the 8line.

These are the fairies I would recommend for a 60g and a pintail: lubbocki, rubeus, rhomboidalis, hooded.

I was also looking at an exquisite wrasse. Any change this would work

A 60g is borderline for an exquisite.

So the rhommboidalis, I’m looking to try and get a male but they are so much more pretty but so much more expensive. Are they like clownfish, to which they will change sex?

Fairy wrasses change sex from female to male pretty readily in aquaria.

Ok and the last fish I was considering is the Naokos fairy. Is that fish peaceful and/or a good match with my pintail

No, naokoae get pretty aggressive to other fairy wrasses in small quarters.

I just got a Labouti changing for 49.99. I thought that is a very good price. I am QT him in a 40 gal reef with a Carpenteri terminal male. They seem to go great together and no fighting what so ever. They will eventually go into my 320 reef.

make sure you are feeding enough. the issue i always had with fairy wrasses is they should be fed several times a day and i only feed once per day.

I am feeding twice a day. The carpenter wrasse is getting fatter but the Labouti does not eat as agressive yet.

ya 50 bucks for a labout is a great deal. i had a pintail, rhomboid, labout, and an exquisite in a 80 . wrasses are awesome

Got a laboutei coming this week from LA.

Is it unusual for a Labout's to have black pelvic fins. My previous one didn't but the one I've had a few months now definitely does.

I have a Labouts in a 100G with a crescent tail , black leopard , male leopard and a radiant. Zero problems now but it had issues with my velvet wrasse
