Hey siggy , I have the synergy 20" overflows on my 180 & a 16 " on the 75 , love them. A little tricky to setup 1st time. Both could handle a "lot" more flow & very quiet .

Time for another nothing update. LOL So no new fish . Iw ent to turbo snails & urchins for a cuc. Seeing how the Copper Band has developed a taste for medium sized snails. I will try some soon. I also started dosing Alk & Ca . I was having to dose a lot of 2 prt to keep up' all I got was a sand bed turned to stone ! Not sure what's up with that but need to get it out . So I stopped the dosing until I figure out the why's. I will add another fish when I finally find one that I want & passes the test. Also need to increase lights on time period .

Sounds like the long cycle is paying off for you. What was your dosing frequency between the 2 elements?

Hey John, I think a 3 year cycle is long enough ! I hope it will pay off ! Just now seeing a little algae thus the cuc. I was dosing a 2 prt. 20/25 mls a day . Mag was up. Now I confess about 60/70% of sand bed is rocked up on me . I couldn't give current numbers, I haven't tested in a month at least.
I really need some more fish in this tank but need to go to the other side of town & been putting it off.
Thanks for the reply, Brian

Agreed! didn't seem like all that much. I'm dosing about that much in the 75.

Just tested for No3 & P04 very surprised to see both levels are very high ! This 180 has always been nutrient deficient & had to dose for years. However I haven't done a water change for over a month.

Not a lot to report. I'm dying for another fish . Can't find what I want ! Need to remove & clean the sand bed. It's rocked up on me in some places. I think I have some fairly big slabs actually. Might just pull this out & replace with new sand.

Hello Folks , Blowing the dust off of my build thread. No new fish yet . My list down to a Puntata or Pear scale Butter fly, Maybe a Tusk . Feeling better these days & planning to remove the rocked up sand bed & adding new "well rinsed" sand. My clowns are guarding eggs at this time. They have a good spot as I can't quite see in there. All the other neighbors are doing well.
