Lawnmower Blenny Food-

So Ive had lawnmowers for about 5 years but I put one in my new tank with little to no algae about 5 months ago. This is what he loves to eat.. stomach size doesn’t lie

Sounds like you know this fish well so you are probably aware that feeding exclusively pellets will cause long term problems with algae eaters like these. He sure is fat though, much more so than mine who is a 5" beast.

This is to supplement the algae eating and then algae pellet every now and then in the back. These are my favorite fish for some reason

I like mine also and the kicker is I only bought him to clear up my GHA and he was a major fail at that.

Did you have any trouble getting him to start eating at first? I cant seem to get lawnmower blennies to begin eating after coming from the store

Same. Mine was a really cool fish with personality we called the old man because he looked like one. It ate everything except algae lol

Mines always fat too. Ate everything. Put in some nori too.

No but some fish won’t eat for a couple of days when you get them. I would feed sinking pellets also or algae pellets. They will eat when they’re hungry

I just got mine because they eat algae, and that is what mine does. He's a sausage body. Very peculiar fish with a little tiki mask face.
