I've had a lawnmower blenny for about 6 months and recently he lost a lot of weight. I could see his spine, he didn't seem to eat anything, and his stomach looked concave all the time, as though it was empty. I put him in QT for a couple weeks and dosed the tank with prazipro and metroplex several times. While in there he started eating algae wafers for the first time, and his stomach was looking a bit bulgier.
I figured that was the end of it and reintroduced him to the display tank and continued feeding algae tablets, which he is continuing to eat. He doesn't seem to be actually regaining any weight on his back though. Does it just take a long time for them to recover from illnesses and regain weight? Should he be going back in QT? Should I stop being such a hypochondriac about my fish?
Thanks for any thoughts y'all might have.
