FYI, for those of us not going the controller route and don't want to sink a lot of $$$ for leak detection, this item from home depot may be basic without Wifi, but it's only $14 bucks! (V batter and chirps like a smoke detector when battery is low.

If you have a security system, some comapnies offer leak detectors that trigger the system to alert you. I use these and sensors in my controller.
