I thought the leopard wrasse was supposed to me more of shy fish that normally gets bullied.

My leopard wrasse bullys the bigger yellow coris so much the yellow coris is scared to come out most of the day now. As soon as it comes out the leopard goes right after it.

Anything I can do to help this? This is in a 180g DT. I have 4 other wrasse too. The leopard only goes after the yellow coris

There are really only two courses of actions. 1) Put the Leopard Wrasse "in time out" in an acclimation box for a few days 2) rearrange the rockscape

I didnt think rearranging the rock work would do anything considering both of these burrow themselves.

Rearranging things may help, but IME it makes little difference with any wrasses.

How long has this been occurring? Is the Canary wrasse a recent addition? But it sound like you might have to make a choice between the two fish - the canary won't survive if it is constantly bullied into hiding. Removing one or the other may be the only option.

Both have been together from the beginning, like 2-3 months ago.

Yeah I will try to remove the yellow wrasse if this doesnt stop. I think it has only been going on for around a week

Probably best. Once the "switch" flips like that, it is hard to turn it off.

I have a 90 Gallon tank and my first wrasse in that tank was a canary wrasse. The fish was very small and seemed a little skinny but was active and eating well. I am kicking myself because I just bought another wrasse on father's day. I bought a Lubbock's fairy wrass. I came home today and couldn't find my canary wrasse. After searching for a good while I found it under a rock hiding. The fairy wrasse started to pick on it and now the canary is swimming like it's dying. I'm afraid it's not going to make it. Can you tell me if this is a fluke or will these species just not work together?

In most cases those 2 species should be fine together.

My thoughts exactly. Vendettas like this between wrasse I’ve rarely seen “worked out” another way that didn’t include losing one.

Leopards are generally docile but there is a large range of temperament differences with wrasse or any fish.
