Leopard wrasses and file fish in quarantine

I'm thinking about adding a pair of blue star leopards and a matted file fish to my display tank.
I always quarantine fish, but I have never had 2 different species of fish in my quarantine tank before.
It's a 29 gallon tank and I can provide plenty of cover with a plastic tray with sand for the leopards.
One of the main medications I will be using is Prazipro for the leopards, then copper if I see a need.
Any opinions?

I would steer clear of copper with leopard wrasses. Prazi should be fine. May want to try TTM but it could put unwanted stress on the Leopards. The file fish should be fine with either treatments. Never heard of them being sensitive to copper.

Don't have the space for TTM.
I used Coppersafe before on leopards. It was recommended by a couple different people here.
Wasn't sure about the file fish with either meds.

Understood about the TTM. I've never used coppersafe so I can't confirm. In most cases any copper related product leopards don't last long.

If I remember right, wrasses do better in chelated copper products than they do in ionic copper products. Of course, there is always the fish that is the outlier and individual fish may not tolerate copper when most of fish in the same species will. Fish are funny that way. It's like they don't read the instructions that tell them how to behave or to respond to treatment. :confused:

+1 Coppersafe works well on wrasses; however I've never used it with a filefish before.

Never kept filefish, but lots of experience with leopards. None of mine ever came in with skin parasites (worms a different issue). Though I always QT them, I don't prophylactically treat for things like ich. Unlike tangs, that are highly suceptible, leopards are not.

But however, they are still a leopard wrasses, and more delicate to boot.
