Lesions on Rabbitfish and Anthias

Lost a couple anthias in the last month. One remaining has a bad sore on his side. Worse, rabbitfish now shows an ulcer/lesion.

Setting up a bucket as a hospital tank. Trying to catch them. Advice?

I have some furan-2. What else???

Unfortunately, the mark on anthias is consistent with uronema which is an obligate parasite, and can thrive on bacteria, uneaten food, and waste so besides treatment also maintain a clean tank removing waste daily.
Best treatment choice is a 45 min formalin bath or ruby rally pro but treatment here may be too late. On the Rabbit, looks to be a bite mark (clowns maybe) or puncture wound from an urchin or similar

Thanks for the reply. Read about the whole uronema thing with anthias. How nervous do i need to be about other tank inhabitants?

Is it worth treating the rabbitfish, or we think it will likely heal on its own?

I have a Rabittfish and he gets those type of bites from time to time. I'm thinking it was a Bristletooth Tang or my large Lawnmower. It would usually heal within a day or so.

Medicated food is tricky. You’ll need a gram scale. The dose for metro is 1 to 2% by weight in the food. It then needs to be bound to the food, either with Focus, or made into a gel diet.

Ok added Focus to the cart and getting that too. I don’t think I’m going to buy a scale. How about 1/2 or 1/4 tsp per cube type portioning?
