The dorsal is too dark for whipfin. Looks like a rubripinnis or condei to me.

Second is definitely flavidorsalis.
Agree; I'm leaning towards condei on the first.

Well that would explain a lot! First thing she did was go back to “clown world” (far back corner) and tell my big bossy female clown that if she felt like it, she would be turning it in to “wrasse world.”
You will be unable to add any other wrasses with it.

Wow! That was not what I was hoping or expecting to hear, especially as she/he is my first wrasse.

In the interest of getting an answer I like, any chance this video provides a better image and a different answer?? ;)

Sorry, it's still filamentosus.

I have to unload my Sailfin Fairy to the LFS. Very beautiful fish as long as there is no other Fairy or Flasher wrasse In the tank. I even show and email the flashing picture to them and warn the that he can’t be in a tank with other flasher and fairy wrasse. They took him and sold him within 1 day. I think the picture really help.

Put in an order for a McCoskers flasher and got this little guy. I don’t know a ton about wrasses but it looks more like a juvenile fairy wrasse of some type. It made it through qt and into the dt with no issues. It doesn’t seem to engage with the fairy’s currently with my tank (exquisitus, cf cyanopleura, rubrus) or the leopards. Anyone have an idea as to what I have on my hands here?

If the attention is on the fish in the last photo, that's cyanopleura.

Yes, the little guy circled below. Hmmm... thats not great news. Im assuming that even though they've been in the tank together for some time when the cyanopleura moves on from being a juvie, I'm going to have problems between it and the cf cyanopleura then?

Yes, chances are high, but not guaranteed. Keep an eye out.

Is this an African Exquisite Fairy Wrasse? It’s flashing is awesome! I have always like the Vanuatuan morph but this is pretty cool.

Thanks!
Overboard

It is a West Indian Ocean exquisitus.
