Or "Elegant Coris", if you want another common name.

I hate when TJ sees alerts faster than I do. :p
Someone spilled Bayer all over and I needed a mop. But anyhow.
Hahahha

Elegant coris wrasse are gorgeous as adult males!

A lubbocks? Looks so different
A Cebu variant of C. lubbocki, lubbocks fairy wrasse.
Thank you. Are they rare and how much they go for, if you don't mind. Thx again
Royal flasher wrasses can range from $30-$90 depending on the quality of the fish. That is a particularly nice specimen, so I would expect it to be closer to the $90 price.

That's a lubbocks fairy wrasse, not the normal or more common "Bali" variant you're probably used to seeing but it is a lubbocks I forget the regional variation name.

Ok I was beat to the punch. Cebu thanks!

Agree on the royal's price. I'd pay around $100 for that one.

Hey evolved! Picked up a $12.99 pencil wrasse yesterday at my LFS. Is there a more specific name for it and what do you think?

Sorry for the flash but the others were blurry.

I thought this was a melanurus and bought it as such but for some reason is always looked slightly different than any melanurus I ever saw lol...he's very pretty and healthy!

Video

Thanks!

Looks like a grey head wrasse in the video I f you ask me, they are fairly similar in appearance and behavior to the melanarus from what I've read. Cheers but I'd let one of the resident experts chime in for verification lol an awesome wrasse at that if it is !

It's a male smalltail wrasse Pseudojuloides cerasinus, Indo variant.

Thanks!
It's a male H. melanurus.

This guy disappeared for 24 hours after introduction. Then right after a water change I noticed a head sticking out- and a few minutes later it was happily swimming around.

^Most aren't too aggressive, but some can get quite aggressive.
