Let Me ID Your Wrasse!

Common names can be misleading...
This is probably Halichoeres garnoti. It needs a bit more development before I can be certain, but I'm 90% on that.

This is a fairy wrasse but not sure which kind. I tried introducing a clown face fairy wrasse recently and no good. Had to take him out quickly due to aggression. Otherwise this is the most mellow fish in my tank.

Solorensis is in the same complex, hence the result.

Thanks. Should’ve done more research. I was naively thinking - because of the markings on the clown face - maybe it was a male and the other a female, that they might pair up. No bueno. At least the clown face has a home in the frag tank.:)

Yes, cyaneus. And male; females do not have dorsal filaments.

I overlooked that one yesterday, but I agree!
Definitely not ocellatus, as the tail shape/structure is wrong.

Are Halichoeres annularis and Halichoeres maginatus are difference species or are they synonyms?
Is this a Marginatus or Annularis? Of course if they are not synonyms. Sorry about the poor quality picture. My old cellphone at the LFS, not under control setting with my camera.
Been at the LFS for 1 week and loosing weight. If I dont get him soon, I dont think he will last. However, I dont know if he will worth my effort to try to save him. Unusual fish, almost look like a Leopard Wrasse

Hey, @evolved I know this is a Pink Margin, but is it a transitional male? I've been wanting a male for a while, but they've been difficult to get lately so I settled for this female/juvenile. The only thing that makes me think it's transitional is because there is some red/blue banding on the tail that wasn't on another female. And if it's not transitioning, what is the likelihood she'll transition to male in captivity?

Would really appreciate your help!

Yes, that's a transitional male. It's about 98% likely it will go the rest of the way to terminal, but the time frame for that is quite variable.

I’ll take your word for it - even googling what’s you said it didn’t 100% match but it’s hard to find juvi pics so I’ll chalk it up to that
They have two dusky wrasse as well that I’m definitely getting
