What type of wrasse is it?

Thank you. Lights are out now, but I'll take a picture of her tomorrow.

The fairy wrasse refuses to come out in front of me, so I can't get a picture. She's a real pain in the wrasse. Is it normal for them to hide this much during QT? I only see her when she sticks her head out for a quick bite when I feed, other than that she hides as soon as we make eye contact.

I wouldn't say it's normal, but it does happen sometimes. Some species are more spooky than others.

Thanks for the ID. LFS told me it was flasher wrasse, but ill take Sasha from Sweden anytime.

What do we think? H. Claudia? Was listed as an Indo Christmas Wrasse. I looked at all the markings and I think I got it right.

Awesome! I actually went to the store to pick up C. jordani, C. rhomboidalis and C. isosceles that I had ordered and couldn't believe they actually had a small H. claudia. So now all 4 are in a holding tank waiting for quarantine. I had to quickly find some sand to put in a small tupperware container for the claudia while I work out a custom built TTM sand container.

That is why I knew I had to jump on this one even though I wasn't quite ready for it yet. I didn't know when I'd see another. The only other one I had seen was a very large one almost a year back.

A neighbor is trying to rehome this wrasse but they have no idea what it is other than it may possibly being of African origin?

Well, if I zoom in, I'm pretty confident I see Coris aygula - a monster of a species.
