Let them do their own thing

So I got this bubble tip 2 days ago and the first night it moved to the back on the substrate so Moved it back to the front. It moved to the same spot last night so I left it. It is spread wide open and seems to like the lower light . In the front it “looked” good but in the back it felt good… and this was at night .

They almost never stay in the spots we place them. Or if they do, they need to convince themselves by doing a few laps to check out every nook and crevice before winding up back where we placed them.

+1 keep your hands off the anemone unless removing for treatment/death.

better to learn this now than when you have a tank full of expensive corals that the anemone's indiscriminately plow through and stress/destroy.
my one anemone has split into 7 now and is almost setting me up for a reboot as they're very hard to remove once they've set up shop.

I've also found that when acclimating them, using a small plastic strainer inside the container works really well for 'sticky' critters like anemones, abalone, etc. If you can't get them off just move the plastic strainer into the tank (they'll eventually move off all on their own).
