Lettuce Sea Slug - split down the middle

I have a lettuce sea slug now three weeks. It’s very entertaining, but one day I couldn’t find him. I had a bad feeling and found him in my sump’s sock. I put him back in to the tank. He’s slugging all over the place again as usual but now is cut in the middle! Will he ever heal? It doesn’t seem to bother him but I’m worried. Look at him He’s loves to be in front of the water jets. I slug proofed the tank now but geeze...

Ouch!! I would search the boards here for anemone proofing your overflows/powerheads. It'll give some pointers on how to protect your squishy critters (not just nems).
